Talking to someone

People often say that a problem shared is a problem halved, and in some instances this can be true. Other times, you may not have such a good listener to share and support you.

Try and talk to a friend, partner or professional from a relevant field. For example talk to your doctor, nurse, counsellor or support worker who may be able to talk things through with you.

Additionally, if you feel you scored highly on the stress symptom checklist, you should also share this with your doctor in case you require medication to alleviate the symptoms of extreme stress.
